• Lead Trim Carpenter

    As a Lead Trim Carpenter at B&C Enterprises, Inc., you will work alongside our project supervisors, project foremen, carpenters, and apprentice carpenters to build out commercial & residential spaces according to specifications. Your job will entail working in diverse settings to produce steady and functional space and products.

    A lead trim carpenter is an individual with great hand dexterity and an eye for detail. You will be responsible for laying out projects and working with our carpenters and apprentice carpenters to complete these projects. The ideal candidate will also have good knowledge of jobsites and be able to work with little supervision while following all health and safety standards for the industry.

    • Minimum 5 years’ experience
    • Must possess a valid state driver’s license and a mobile telephone
    • Must possess a high school diploma or GED
    • Maintain good physical condition and endurance
    • Knowledge and understanding of the English language

    • Excellent communication skills
    • Ability to work with little to no supervision
    • Work with and communicate with customers/clients in a professional manner
    • Communicate with Project Supervisors/Project Foremen to schedule work force and subcontractors
    • Ability to manage and oversee work of carpenters and apprentice carpenters
    • Able to work required overtime, or alternate hours as necessary for the efficient operation of the project
    • Excellent knowledge of carpentry materials, tools, and methods of installation and construction
    • Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, tape measures, etc.)
    • Ability to identify occupational safety hazards and willingness to use proper PPE and follow safety guidelines at all times
    • Ability to read, interpret and work from sketches, blueprints and specifications
    • Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed
    • Order materials from vendors and arrange deliveries
    • Drywall installation and taping
    • Finish trim, crown molding
    • High end cabinetry installation
    • Installation of doors, windows
    • Install steel and wood stud framing
    • Layout and installation of acoustical ceiling track and tile
    • Keep detailed records of work performed & file records/reports with Project Supervisor
    • Schedule inspections and meet inspectors onsite
